Hope to hear your thoughts: Also if you are buying a set meant to grow with your child white may not hold up. If you buy a high quality set in espresso it will be stained not painted. Some places like bru offer a warranty that covers the the crib for ANY reason. Hth and have fun shopping: I think white is girly. Also like pp said the stain won't flake off, and if it gets a little beat up, you could always lightly sand and re-stain it.

B Baddwolff rewelina I've seen white great in a boy room as well as a girl room. White and blue look very nice together. But white paint will flake and get very dirty, very quick. Plus if your baby chews on the crib it will flake is his or her mouth.

No, its not lead paint but still They said that white is o. However, if you're buying a lifetime crib that can grow with your child, you need to think about what will look o. White might be o. If you don't know the gender of your baby, you're better off going with the espresso. M MrsEnrqz rewelina We purchashed a modern, two tone crib.

Competition ends 31st January You can purchase our baby nursery furniture online and in our Brisbane store.

I think it will also go well with the girly theme I already have picked out for my un-concived daughter lol. B Burly I've got white in my little boys room, I think it looks chic and isn't too girly.

  • M MamaHaggis rewelina We're having a boy and went with an antique white set. It looks great but we're also doing a nautical theme not little kid nautical but antique boat stuff, so the white looks great with the navy blue. As far as it not wearing as well you can buy padded covers almost like bumpers for the top of the rails to protect against teething.

Also you can wait till they get older then fill the marks, sand it and paint it. D rewelina Don't get white. Crayons are not easy to get off We are having a girl and at first I really wanted white but then I had to think about when I have my other children if it will still look good. So we just decided the natural color looked girly enough and can also go with a boys room in the future.

Plus you have to remember if you want it to last for a couple kids you are going to have to pay a little more for good quality!

But furniture we had bought before our house a long dresser to be used as a changing table and a nightstand is espresso.

  • So I did the same as a pp, and found a two-tone crib. I think it'll work for both genders so easily have a 9 mo old girl now. I think either is beautiful, but recommend taking into consideration your trim color. M MysticStorm rewelina Originally we were going to buy espresso So we went thru the house and found all the beat up yard sale furniture and grandmas old dresser and bought a can of white semi gloss paint So white crib it is!

B BiancaNoel1 rewelina Either color is beautiful. You can't go wrong with either. Her bedding is also a soft petal pink color.. All our furniture i's Cherry so I bought all the furniture for the baby in Cherry. My boyfriend felt like white was more for girls and we are having a baby boy.

Plus it goes with everything and easy to matche decor with. It's peaceful for you and either boy or girl.. S Skylar rewelina In my opinion white or expresso is for either gender.

You can accessorize with colour and such. In my experience, especially in the bedroom, well definately the livingroom too you are constantly dusting as it shows every speck. Now I know it's good to dust but every few hours is ridiculous ;- My three boys have honey colour wood and I love it for their rooms.

My little baby girl has white. S SierraBaby rewelina Our first was a girl and he wanted black furniture.

  • It came out really it came out later very girlie when I did it with pink and white riffle towers and poodles, very French chic and super cute. For this one not finding out gender again we went with a non toxic modern crib that is white and espresso which looks great for both genders c cassiecb rewelina well white is shabby chic while expresso is more classy.

I personally think the darker woods look much nicer and sometimes I think the white looks cheap. I couldn't be happier! Here's what you should keep in mind.

When a new baby arrives home, this room is where many hours will be spent for both baby and parents sleeping, playing, dressing and cuddling. Bedding is one interesting avenue where there are a lot of options in store for the parent from choosing the kind and texture of sheets, the choice of colors and baby bedding patterns.
